How to Preorder, Step by Step

Four minutes of work now saves a launch-day scramble.

  1. Decide digital or physical — digital cannot sell out, physical can.
  2. Pick your platform: PS5 or Xbox Series X|S. There is no PC version at launch.
  3. Free up at least 150 GB of storage, or add an SSD before release so you are not deleting games on launch night.
  4. Place the preorder and enable auto-download so it installs overnight.

Preorder FAQ

Q. Can I preorder GTA 6 right now?

Preorders open through the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store and major retailers ahead of the November 19, 2026 launch. This page is updated the day listings go live.

Q. Is the Deluxe Edition worth it?

Only if you expect to play the online mode heavily. The in-game currency and cosmetics are the entire difference; the single-player content is identical.

Q. Do I need to preorder to play at launch?

No for digital copies, which never run out. Physical discs and Collector's bundles do sell out, so preorder those early.

Q. Can I cancel a GTA 6 preorder?

Yes. Console storefronts allow cancellation up to release day, and most retailers do not charge physical preorders until dispatch.
